Xu Mohan, 14, is a representative of the People's Republic of China at the "Our Generation 2024" competition. In the finale of the project, she will perform her original song Northern Lights.
The girl was born in Russia, where she began her career and entered a music school. Since the age of nine, the singer has been professionally engaged in pop vocals. Xu Mohan admits that in moments of sadness, she turns on music, and her soul immediately becomes light. In addition to singing, she enjoys dancing, playing the piano and Chinese erhu.
The idea of writing a contest song came to the young singer during a family trip to the Kola Peninsula, in Teriberka. There she saw the northern lights for the first time in her life. The melody and lyrics of the song came to the girl's mind right on the shore of the Barents Sea.
Xu Mohan dreams of connecting his life with creativity, becoming a real musician and performing songs in Russian and Chinese, as well as writing his own works.
The girl is really looking forward to the competition days in Kazan to get to know all the participants and make many new friends who, like her, are in love with music.
