Potatoes, the Kremlin and the first snow: how Kazan welcomed foreign guests

Last weekend, children and teenagers from 15 countries came to Kazan. On the first day of the week, foreign delegations got to know the organizers and each other. Stella Khachanyants, General producer of the competition and founder of the Academy of Contemporary Art, addressed the foreign guests with words of greeting. She thanked everyone for their participation, wished them success in the finals and a good time in Russia. Many contestants brought gifts with them: baubles with the symbols of their countries, souvenirs in the form of magnets, key chains and even a potato cake and exchanged them with great pleasure during the acquaintance.

After a short official part, the participants of "Our Generation" went on a sightseeing tour of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The children were impressed by the beauty and sights of the city. At the end of the tour, they were taken to the Kazan Kremlin, where they visited the Kul Sharif Mosque and the Annunciation Cathedral. Kazan welcomed foreign guests with the traditional November weather: at the moment when foreign delegations gathered on the Kremlin observation deck, snow began to fall as if by magic. Many children and accompanying adults from southern countries saw him for the first time and their emotions cannot be expressed in words. They caught snowflakes, photographed them, shot videos and endlessly repeated that this was the real Russian miracle!

After the tour, all the young contestants went to a rehearsal. They had to get acquainted with Russian culture, or rather with the Russian language. They were learning the anthem of "Our Generation". Not all the words were given to the artists easily and from the first time, especially they had to work on the combinations of "spotlights will flash", "voices will merge" and insidious "moments", which were the most difficult for foreigners. However, at the end of the rehearsal, the Russian language was mastered and the anthem was learned. How it turned out will be possible to find out during the final of the competition, which will be held on November 16 at 16:00 at the Kazan Tennis Academy.

Due to numerous requests from fans, the broadcast of the final of the International Television Children's Author's Song Contest "Our Generation" was postponed on November 16 to 21:20 Moscow time. This decision was made so that as many viewers of our large country as possible could see the performances of participants from 15 countries and find out the name of the winner or winners on the air of the federal channel NTV.
